Volume 1 | Issue 1

Welcome to the Rotary New Year!
Thank you to Sarah for all the excellent work over the last year and I am looking forward to the coming 12 months and I hope we can run a programme that engages and involves all of us.
We are proposing that we have two formal meetings a month, the first and third Tuesdays, with a board meeting on the second Tuesday. With the first meeting being a combined one I will present the plans for the year on Tuesday 16th.
Please come armed with any ideas you wish to present!
I am attempting to use the Rotary Bulletin Service but will see how this works.
Looking forward to the year

Changeover Dinner
Thank you all for a great welcome  and  celebration of all we did last year. Sarah ran through the achievements and we can be very proud of all that we do as a club for the community
The entertainment from MIT Creative Arts faculty really suited the occasion addressing  the serious issue of depression through song, some great hip hop dancing and then audience participation that was totally inclusive.
Thank you to Julie for being the MC and organising a great evening.
New Member
We welcomed Dana Jin as a new member at the changeover dinner. We look forward to her involvement with us all in the Club and I encourage everyone to introduce themselves to her
Jammies in June , we delivered 200 hundred pairs of pyjamas, 25 blanks and socks and shoes. A great effort by Bev and Swee, thank you to BNZ and Davies Funerals. This was then added to by 1000 pairs organised by Mary Ann!
We had a presentation from Viki, from Austria and Maria from Denmark about their year in New Zealand on the Youth Exchange programme.
Another session at the Kerwyn Stream reclaim project ( old picture). We are now planting trees and difference from when we started is very noticeable. There is still rubbish to pick up though
